Moonwalking onto my list (and our hearts) was Mr. Quiggly. The cute French Bulldog shows up to a race decked out in Sketchers. The race starts and after a second Mr. Quiggly is blowing past the competition, and to add some style points he moonwalks across the finish line.

February is about the time when people fall behind on their New Year’s Resolutions, it seems that holds true for some pups as well. In this Volkswagen spot, an overweight dog begins working out and ignoring table scraps. Soon enough the motivation is revealed: You can’t chase a nice car down the road when you are overweight. The ad ends with a fit fido bounding down the road alongside a shiny new Volkswagen.

Budweiser, often known for cute animal commercials, did it again with the story of Wego, a rescue dog. Call him, the owner prompts his friends: “Here Wego” (a cute play on the Bud Light slogan, Here We Go). Turns out Wego has a special talent, he is great at fetching beer. As more and more party guests show up Wego finds ever more creative ways to bring beer to them.

The best dog themed commercial, and definitely the funniest, centered around a missing cat. Cut to a scene of a man in his yard, next to him his large dog is burying a cat collar. The man looks very unsettled, and next thing you know the dog is sliding him a bag of Doritos with a note that read: You didn’t see NUTHIN. The man happily takes the bribe, then we hear his wife asking about their missing cat, making it even funnier when you learn it wasn’t just a random cat, it was his own.
